The Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi is the newest addition to the Pulsar series of motorcycles from Bajaj Auto. Features differentiate this bike from other members of the DTS-i family comprise oil cooled, fuel inserted engine, front and back disc braking, tubeless tyres, a digital speedometer comfort and parabolic/ellipsoidal projector headlamps.
With this preface, Bajaj Auto would realize a close second in the race to present a microprocessor-based fuel injected motorcycle to Indian consumers, after Hero Honda's 125 cc Glamour FI motorcycle. The new Pulsar has a longer wheelbase than its predecessor, factory-fitted front and rear disc brakes and detailed digital instrumentation. The Pulsar DTS-Fi produced a maximum power of 20 bhp and a maximum torque of 19.12 Nm (14 ftlbf).
