Fresh off of the launch of the all new Volvo C30 hatchback, the security conscious Swedish automaker is also preparation on producing an electric vehicle version of the new car. The electric Volvo will be identified as the C30 Battery Electric Vehicle and will be powered wholly by batteries nourishing electric motors which will result in absolutely zero releases and give the Volvo C30 BEV a range of up to 150 kilometers.
Volvo has previously built a handful of the BEVs in order to conduct internal testing with the electric vehicles and advance their development of a stop in hybrid Volvo that is set to debut a little bit in 2012.
