Olympus has introduced its new DSLR camera in the European market. The manufacturer claims that the new camera has the world’s fastest autofocus, thanks to ZUIKO DIGITAL Supersonic Wave Drive Lenses (SWD).
It features a 10-megapixel Live MOS image sensor. Other specifications of the E-3 camera are:
*Shutter speeds of up to 1/8000th sec
*5fps sequential shooting
*Live View technology
*2.5″ LCD screen
The body is made of Magnesium alloy and provides dust-proof and splash-proof durability.
John Knaur, senior marketing manager, Digital SLR, Olympus Imaging America Inc said, “Olympus was the first to bring body-integrated Dust Reduction, 100 percent digital-specific lenses and ‘Full Time Live View’ to the digital SLR market.”
“Olympus continues to innovate by producing cameras of the highest quality with breakthrough technology. The new E-3 will satisfy the pro-level needs of our customers with incredible AF speed, superior image quality due, in part, to In-body Mechanical Image Stabilization that stabilizes all lenses attached to the camera, and a durable body to capture it all,” Knaur added.
Olympus’ E-3 camera will be available in Europe at prices ranging from £1,099 (approx Rs. 61,720) to £1,699 (approx Rs. 95,410) depending on the lens.
