Fujifilm's Finepix JI0 is a compact 8.2-megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom. This one like the Samsung's L-series of camera is tiny enough to fit in your pocket. The J10 metal-clad body feels great and is more compact than it looks. The J10's lithium-ion battery recharges within the camera and the supplied AC adaptor can either connect directly or via the cradle, which is also included in the package.
The 2.5in LCD is bright but under direct sunlight it causes some viewing problems. There are not many controls buttons on the camera and this makes it almost clutter free. There is no dedicated scene mode selection knob or button. This has to be accessed via the main menu and this can get tiresome if you frequently need to shuffle between scene mode selections.
The J10 also features picture stabilisation which it refers to as Anti-Blur mode. However, what it does is it selects a higher ISO and a high shutter speed and effectively reduces shakes and blur. The overall image quality produced by the J10 is pretty decent. The picture colours were accurate and detailed. The pictures were sharp as well, making it a good entry level point and shoot camera. But shooting at wide angles, we noticed some distortion and vignetting in pictures at the edges. The JI0 offers ISO setting ranging from 64 to 1600 with the presence of Auto mode as well. Shooting at different ISO modes gave satisfactory results.
The thing we liked about the FinePix 110 is the simplicity of ease. Although it does not compete with the other compacts in the test, but its unique in its own. This is an entry-level inexpensive camera for people who do not require all the bells and whistles. So if you are bored of your camphone, its-time to get the FinePix 110.
