It's sleek, stylish and has an enviable pedigree. Carved from stainless steel, the 6700 Classic boasts of workmanship that speaks the superlative language of an extremely well-put-together gadget. But it's more than just a pretty face with a bold body to flaunt.
The keypad is well-spaced and makes for comfortable typing. The 2.2-inch screen may not fit the conventional bill for web browsing, but it does an excellent job at it. nonetheless. Legibility is superb even under direct sunlight. Based on Symbian's Series 40, it sports a familiar user interface and most will take to it as shark to the sea. Though it comes with Just 170MB of onboard memory. it's snappy to use. Festooned with a lovely 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, it clicks pictures to impress; of course ideal lighting conditions are a pre-requisite.
Likewise for music player: good sound quality, but smothered by the missing 3.5mm jack. Internet browsing is fast. thanks to the updated WebKit-based browser. Wi-Fi is a notable omission, but Bluetooth and a standard mini-USB connection provide some consolation. Battery life. as expected is gladdening -three whole days when used brashly. Voice quality is immaculate, thanks to the voice clarity feature, which uses digital signal processing to mask out background noise.
A no-nonsense phone. this candybar is sure to give even the fastidious users a head rush.
