To trump the mega success of the 6300, Nokia has given its successor a premium all-over stainless steel finish. The slimline chassis feels high quality, and the keypad is great to use, while a 5MP camera, HSOPA, A-GPS and Ovi Maps prove the 6700 is no vacuous luxury wannabe.
There is a drawback to the 6700's burnished shell: it attracts finger smudges like a miner's pint glass. Constant polishing aside it's intuitive to use with flexible homescreen customisation. Elsewhere, the 5MP cam takes sharp, vibrant pies, and the phone makes a fine personal navigator despite the pared down mapping software and smallish display. The 6700's premium build, ease of use and sharp snapper are hard to resist.
