THE WONDER HITACHI L32S02A LCD TV, sticks to the norm ¬it's black, glossy and sleek. Nothing really seems to standout in other aspects either. There are a meagre two HDMI ports - so if you own a Sony PS3, an upscaling DVD player, and a hi-def camcorder, you'll have a frequent bit of shuffling to do. The panel contrast ratio is rated at 1000:1 - which is pretty so-so and the screen can output at a hi-def resolution of 720p. Another bother is the two-legged stand that has to meticulously be attached to the TV before you can even attempt to mount the unit.
For all its gripes though.
The Hitachi is pretty decent when it comes to doing its thing. Out of the box, footage is a bit on the duller and darker side, but a bit of tweking and the quality is pretty acceptable. Thanks to the panel's 8ms response time, ghosting is unheard of and the colours are generally rich and vibrant.
Considering that it's the cheapest one of the lot, this one's a decent telly.
