The HP Touchsmart PC came quite a while back, and never really saw any competition. However, here is some from MSI, which has launched the Windtop AE2010 desktop PC. The all in one PC is much like a television screen or a flat panel monitor, except that the entire PC is housed inside the slim body. The AE2010 has the AMD Athlon 2650e clocking at 1.66GHz and 2GB RAM. Graphics is powered by the ATI Radeon HD3200 and the 20 inch screen has a resolution of 1600x900 which is good for HD videos.
In terms of the touchscreen capabilities, it is a joy to use before of the responsiveness. Use the stylus or your fir:1ger, but the response will be great. However, this machine will not be your companion for gaming or 3D intensive applications. The 3D Mark score of 1194 indicates at a basic graphics performance, while the PC Mark score of 1216 indicates basic computing only. A shot of extra RAM will go down well, particularly with the Windows Vista Home Premium OS that can pre-loaded.
The Windtop is ideal if you need something slim and stylish for your upscale studio apartment. Spending Rs 50k on a laptop would get you much better specifications though. You'll have to come to terms with the fact that you're paying a premium for the all-in-one design and the large, crisp touchscreen.
