Windows Vista launched a substitute for Outlook Express called Windows Mail. Windows Mail permits you to send and obtain messages from multiple email accounts after you arrange each one. Windows Mail works with many dissimilar internet service providers (ISPs). Managing multiple email accounts is simple because each account in Windows Mail is organized in its own folder. You can ensure for messages from all your email accounts at once by clicking a single button.

When you first open Windows Mail it will begin the new email account wizard and the first thing it will ask you for is your display name. This can be anything you desire it to be and are what will humiliate on your outgoing messages. It is selected by you and not you’re ISP.

Windows Mail does not support the HTTP servers employed by Hotmail and other web based email services.


Some ISPs require verification for outgoing email so if that’s the case you can verify the box that says Outgoing server needs verification and fill in the required information. Many times you can ensure the box that says Use similar settings as my incoming mail server and it will perform the trick.


Finally you can insert your email username and password. The username is usually the initial part of your email address before the @ symbol. Some ISPs need the entire email address as your username. If you verify the box that state Remember password then you wont have to enter it all time your ensure your email.
