Shutdown Command Graphical Interface

Windows has always accessible a mode to shut down your own computer or other computers on the network distantly via an authority line using the shutdown control. There is a way to modify the authority so you can use a graphical interface in its place to make it easier to decide what computers to shutdown or still restart.

The shutdown command utilizes switches to control how it is utilized. For instance you can employ the r switch to reboot rather than shutdown and the –t switch to manage how long previous to the computer is shutdown or restarted. If you utilize the –i switch then it will introduce the graphical interface which permits you to fine tune how you desire the computer to shutdown. You can create a desktop shortcut for the graphical interface by making the target for the shortcut be %windir%\system32\shutdown.exe –i. That method you can contain it as an icon that you can double click to run.

When you introduce the shutdown interface you can click on the Add button to add computers by name or the Browse button to browse Active Directory in search of computers if you employ a domain.

Then you can decide if you want to shutdown, reboot or log off the consumers and how long until that occasion happens. If you desire to tack your reboots you can employ the Shutdown Event Tracker to have an account of why you shutdown the computers.
