Razer Barracuda and what Sound Card

So at the moment I have the Razer Barracuda headset and allowing for it sound really bad with on board sound I was marveling if I should purchase a sound card. This would be my first ever non onboard sound card so just wondering if I would observe dissimilarity.

Also I’m quite a few games such as CSS, the 5.1 sound is glitches and does stuff akin to echo for no good cause or just sound totally broken, is this onboard being bad and would a Sound Card attach this does anybody think?

So yea essentially what I'm asking is whether it is worth receiving a sound card for it, if so which one, budget lets say £60, but you can go higher if you really require to. And if someone finds one could you tell me what power connections it wants (do sound cards yet have power connections or does it run through motherboard connection?) thanks.

While others may have a dissimilar view, I individually think sound cards are not wanted unless you require very high quality audio or require the connections that the sound card gives over your onboard sound. Many soundcards employ the precise same chips as those found on the onboard audio. Only the more luxurious cards include things like particular parts for converting digital to analog and vice versa.

Between are you using the 3 x Headphone jacks, or the HDMI adapter? One other object I read about these headsets is that it works better if you locate the audio to 4/4.1 in place of 5.1. This made the dissimilarity for some folks.

What motherboard are you employing in which the sound is included on? Sound cards don't employ nearly enough power to soak the PCIe power. Even graphics cards didn't require their own power connectors pending a few years ago.

I don't recognize whether it is that Razer Barracudas are bad or if my Onboard is bad? I denote I used some Sennheiser 350HD I believe they are, the ones from my drum kit and they are lots better than my Barracuda. It’s just too much hassle continues taking them off and on the drums and they are my brothers also so he whines. Also they don't have a mic either. I was thinking about purchasing some Steel series Siberia V2 if it turned out the Barracudas are just dire, anyone had experience with them?

Fine, could be onboard, could be the receiver. For under , I'd recommend the ASUS Xonar DX and HT Omega Striker. Above that, observe the ASUS Xonar D2/D2X, ASUS Essence STX, Auzentech Prelude, Auzentech Forte and HT Omega Claro.

No thought which one it could be? I mean I've had my expects up that its the Onboard, but the sum of bad user reviews, I mean it might be the case that it SUCKS w/o a sound card and because most people from Amazon don't have a sound card they stay giving it ratings? But yeah thanks for the suggestions, any sound card in exact? I'd rather not mess through loads of reviews like I have been doing lately.

Appreciate this: The headset is only outputting what the sound card is making, so if it sounds bad, probability are it’s the onboard sound. But while you imagine it is hardware related, I would believe it more likely that the software is to responsibility.

Perhaps you have settings that produce virtual channels, like CMSS. Try setting all the audio device settings for the onboard sound to default and then attempt the 4.1 thing.
